Jerred Clouse is a senior nonprofit leader with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and 17 years of experience working in homeless and social services. Most recently, he was the Executive Director at ROOTS Young Adult Shelter. Prior to that, he oversaw DESC’s Entry Services as a Senior Program Manger. In addition to working in emergency and enhanced shelters, he has experience working in diversion, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, residential care for minors, scattered site housing, and employment programs for unhoused folx. In addition to working at ROOTS and DESC, he has worked at Friends of Youth, Catholic Community Services, Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project, Peace Corps, and Ryther.
Jerred centers people and recognizes that undoing racism and systems of oppression is the only way to do this work responsibly, ethically, and meaningfully.
When Jerred is not at work, he enjoys traveling with his partner and over-investing in his needy cat, Miles. Jerred is an extremely amateur singer and songwriter. He also enjoys hiking, theater, and humor as his primary hobbies and self care.
