Christopher Archiopoli has lived in the Seattle area since 2006; they were born in Connecticut and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University, a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Washington, and their Master of Business Administration and a graduate Certificate in Marketing from Washington State University. Additional qualifications include: CCAR Recovery Coach Professional Facilitator and Washington State Healthcare Authority Certified Peer Counselor. More importantly, he considers himself a Daymaker: A person who performs acts of kindness with the intention of making the world a better place.
Following their undergraduate studies, they worked for over twenty years in the beauty industry as a manager, educator and service provider. Marking a desire for career change and personal growth, Christopher pivoted to social services where they served for two years as Director of Peer Seattle, an organization providing peer-based recovery support services. They currently work at PDA as a Senior Project Manager for Seattle-King County LEAD.
Christopher’s passion lies in advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS as well as those experiencing substance use disorder. They work with the Washington Recovery Alliance on their Public Policy Committee, with UW Positive Research as co-chair of the Community Advisory Board and volunteer as a facilitator/peer coach with Peer Seattle. Christopher serves as a board member on the King County Board of Health and on the Governance Council for Public Health-Seattle & King County’s Healthcare for the Homeless Network.
Personally, he is a nerd with a healthy obsession for Star Trek and Pokemon. His most important role is as dad to his two dogs, Ginge and Ada.
