Colleen Canniff

Colleen has spent the past 10 years working with municipalities, schools, and community mental health organizations. Her work has been unified by the commitment to a trauma-competent approach, the transformative impact of relationships, and the value and dignity of each individual and community. Colleen is passionate about moving toward liberatory practices and systems reimagining. She firmly believes that everyone is both teacher and student. 

Colleen is a licensed clinical social worker associate (LICSWA) and earned a master’s in social service administration from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice and a B.A. in human development/psychology from DePaul University, Chicago. She was a 2019 City of Chicago Mayoral Fellow. 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones and family across the globe, consuming too much reality TV, rock climbing, and engaging in other outdoor activities.
