Carter is passionate about using her lived experience and advocating for people that don’t have a voice.
DaJenae Carter was born and raised in Seattle. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the non-profit sector throughout King County, specializing in the Modified ACT model, people with co-occurring disorders, and long-term housing stabilization from long-term hospitalizations. Using her lived experience, Carter became peer certified to help bridge the gap between clinical case management and their clients, helping clients provide input to their treatment plans.
Carter is passionate about using her lived experience and advocating for people that don’t have a voice. She believes in the importance of creating positive interactions for people navigating systems so that they have better outcomes, and hopes to continue to grow and learn from her peers and the people she serves.
