Karl’s journey seeking socially impactful work began at the Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center. His next stops included case management for the YMCA young adult shelter and later as a Public Benefits Specialist for the Washington Department of Social and Health Services. Karl’s last assignment was as a shift lead in temporary and permanent housing with the Seattle Metropolitan Urban League. Karl relates to his participants through shared life experiences and appreciates them trusting him enough to engage in life-changing conversations. They collaboratively work towards finding ways to overcome barriers and to create stability while pressing forward.
Karl is excited to partner with such a dynamic workforce with goals and objectives that align with his own. Every program and participant has their own challenges, but with the right team, making positive, socially impactful progress is possible.
