Latisha lives by the motto: Give me your pain, and I will give your happiness.
Latisha has lived experience working through systems and fighting to live. An outreach team never gave up on her, and she was able to seek recovery. Latisha has a natural heart for caring and hit the ground running in her community. She has several years of experience working in shelter settings and running programming to assist the underserved in her community. One of Latisha’s proudest moments was when she was a part of Women Empowerment Day, shutting down shelters and opening them up to the women in encampments who were not accessing shelter services at the time. Currently Latisha is working on her BA for criminal justice, and she sees a huge need to continue to fight for the fairness in the community.
