David was born and raised in Federal Way, WA. He has lived experience in addiction, homelessness, mental health, and has also been to jail multiple times as a result of these negative lived experiences. He now enjoys 6 years lived experience in recovery. In that time, he worked two years as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee at an outpatient substance abuse facility and four years in an involuntary mental health facility as a Behavioral Health Technician.
In his free time, David offers outreach to homeless addicts and cleans up abandoned homeless encampments in Federal Way. This is his way of giving back to his community. He is passionate about helping others find purpose in life and encourages them to live a life of recovery free from suffering.
